Alina 08-360 [1]

We met Alina on the evening of Tuesday, August 5; with her sister. She is a very sweet young girl. But very, very shy & very easily intimidated. Alina came from a PM with 3 of her sisters and 1 brother, and some health issues to be dealt with. Alina had round and hook worms (bad), bloody runny stools and weighing at 49 lbs. We're still trying to figure out if her heat cycle is coming in or going out. She also needs to be spayed, but the vet is waiting as she seems so lethargic; she has been wormed once and that went very well. But another round must be done in about 2 weeks. Also Alina still needs to get updated on all her shots, but not until she is feeling better.

Loud noises make her jump and run, she did not know what toys are, yet! She has seemed to like some of the bigger bones in the house, so it's a start. She likes to hide in any corner that she can get her little body into; so we keep her tethered to us during the day and most of the evening. Alina does not like being baby gated in the kitchen as she can (somehow) climb over the baby gate and gets into the rest of the house. So she does like her kennel, and understands the word "kennel up". She likes to steal socks and hides them in her kennel or a corner if she can get away with it.

Alina is like all PM dogs, she did not know what doors are, what a car ride was. So she is learning and most of the time accepting of these things. She will not take any food at all from my hand or fingers.

As I sit here on the floor with her working on this update, she has given me two kisses (licks) on my arm. We are making process and we do love her!!
