I have had Beau in my home for a little more than a week now. Time got away from me so I am late getting this written...maybe a subconscious action on my part because my husband and I have fallen hard for this canine. He has brought such fun and love to our home. It is like he has always been with us, and as wonderful as you all probably are...I don't want him to leave us!

Beau embodies everything we all know and love about golden retrievers. He has soulful eyes and a rich, dark red coat that is like silk to touch and brush. He is such a handsome fella! He is going to be 9 years old on December 1st. He has a little bit of gray on his muzzle but other than that, he has very little to indicate he is a senior except for some arthritis, which is controlled with meds that he takes in a piece of cheese twice a day. But if I didn't give him his meds, I would never know he has arthritis...that is how well controlled the pain is.

He is so quiet in the house, you may be surprised by his energy level when he wants to play....and play is definitely a part of his life. He and our resident dog have a ball together. He has brought much fun to her life. But as much as he loves to play, he loves to cuddle with humans even more. He is happy to warm your feet....or lap any time. Just ask. He is GREAT on the leash, but his past owner says he has no desire to be any place but with you so he is reliable off the leash too. He has absolutely NO BAD HABITS, inside or out.

Beau started out life in a very neglectful home, and somehow ended up in the humane society, where he was adopted and lived the golden life for two years. In his latest home, he was a much loved part of the family. But life has a way of changing and requiring you to change with it. His owner had to move to a place where he couldn't go too. She very tearfully turned him over to me. She is still missing him and is very anxious that he live the golden life again. Can you give him that life?
