Bismarck 07-194 [1]

3/25/07: 07-194 (who is yet unnamed, but I am lobbying to name him Bismarck) was picked up this morning from Animal Ark. He and Dusty 07-183 were the last two dogs there this morning. They were both petrified, but both made it to their new foster homes. "Bismarck" (or whatever he shall be called) is actually doing really, really well for a puppy mill guy. He took awhile to come out of his crate into the yard, but he did it, and then did a very cautious exploration of the grounds. When the Terrible Trio was released (the two residents and Shadow 06-056, the other foster) they eagerly checked him out and they have been taking care of him since.  NoName hasn't eaten anything yet, but has swilled a bunch of water. He will approach me and stand still for pets. The BEST thing, however, was when he picked up a tennis ball in his mouth! He was PROVING he was going to be a typical Golden boy one of these days! I snapped a couple of photos, and will get him bathed and glammed up a bit and send in some more in a few days. He's a keeper! He's medium-sized, pretty red with gorgeous blond highlights, lovely feathers on his haunches, seems be be very well tempered, alert, and is doing really well with all three dogs AND he even met the cat! Big day for this guy--more to come.
