This is Brandy, a beautiful 11 year old golden retriever. The background on her is she, and a companion of hers for 7 years (a Chihuahua) were surrendered after several years of ownership and being together due to not having enough time and both were surrendered to the local shelter. It is amazing where and how some of our magnificent golden rescues come from and why. Never ceases to amaze most of us.  This is our mission, RAGOM, to rescue and re-home these great dogs. What matters is they are safe, in RAGOM and on their way to the best golden life we can try to give them, no matter why or what age(s). We are amazed how well this girl is doing in a short amount of time after so many years in a home and then into an overcrowded shelter and now here with us. She, as you can see, melted our hearts seeing her right off the get-go. Just nothing better than a loving senior to enjoy, love, pamper and foster. To give them our best care, vetting and comfort. In a brief summary to this point, here are basics on our girl:

• She is 11 years young (amazing does not look that)
• She is spayed and current on all vaccinations and microchipped
• She is dog friendly
• She is cat friendly
• She loves and is great around all children whom we have met
• She crates fine and would be ok with free roam
• She is a great size, 55#
• She walks beautifully
• She is fully housebroken  
• She is great meeting strangers and new people here and out on walks
• She is fine with steps/stairs
• Beautiful frosting on her face J

In the short amount of time we have had her, she is about the best you can ask for.

Introductions to 2 other dogs (corgi and border collie/eskie mix) and 3 cats were totally fine.

Brandy is mindful of others. She enjoys being in the same room/area with you but not real clingy, just a true companion girl. She loves the typical golden ‘roll’ in the grass. Took her to the groomers and helped get her all spiffed up and she did really well with all the noises, blowers, etc. and now she is so clean and gorgeous. This is one super great foster.
