Buddy (Jake 06-549) [1]

Hello, my name is Jake. I am a quiet, mellow Golden/Lab mix. I look quite regal, but my upbringing has not been so great. I was found neglected in Iowa. I spent the last 2 months in a shelter where I got all up to date on my shots and was helped to find a family to take me in until I can find my forever home. I am very friendly, maybe even a little shy. But give me a tug toy and I'll show you some fun play. I'm kind of new to fetch but I know what drop means and I usually will if I think you will throw it again. I tend to get a little rough during my play, but heck I'm still a puppy at heart! Foster Dad told his kids I have a soft mouth and am a great dog. I need to learn lots of stuff. Nobody has taught me to heel, stay, sit or come but I have tons of potential if someone would take the time to train me. I do not even know how to beg! I have already learned to sleep in a crate and tonight I used a Gentle Leader and was even learning to sit when we stopped walking.
