Buddy Red 07-397 [1]

WARNING - do not read any further if you are NOT interested in the most beautiful rich dark red golden retriever boy in the world!  Buddy has the best face in the business:)  We don't know much about this guy beside the fact that he showed up at a farm with a collar on with no tags and the owner could not be found.  He stayed at the farm where he wondered to for two months and they wanted to keep him but already had two big dogs and didn't have the time to spend building up his confidence.  Plus the fact that he liked to hunt their chickens! He is a bit timid with new situations but then becomes comfortable fairly soon after. There is a possibility that he may have been abused or maybe neglected.  When I first brought him inside he was afraid of going up the stairs - now he runs them:)  He was kept outside in a kennel at the farm where he stayed and I don't think he was ever an inside dog before that.  Everything seemed new to him.  He will need some help with potty training, right now he is at the vet being "altered" and getting up to date with all his shots and microchipped.  Hopefully after his neuter he won't need to leave his scent inside the house:)  I have no doubt that he will be easy to train - he is really smart.  Now for the most important news, he is the biggest lover!  He is so sweet and loves to cuddle and hang out with his humans.  He is gentle with our girls (4, 7) and loves to play with our 1 year old golden girl.  They said he is about a year old but he acts more "mature" than that.  He doesn't jump up, mouth or act as crasy as a lot of year old puppies.  I love this dog and you will too.  I will write when he gets settled from his neuter and give a medical update and when he will be available for adoption.  I can't see him waiting for a forever home for long because he is a special dog:)
