If you are looking for a gem, Cassie is your girl!  Cassie is a 7 year old female Golden Retriever.   She was surrendered in Oklahoma with her golden sister, as her former owner was a single parent who worked long hours.  She was housebroken and had free roam of the house.

Cassie is settling in without problems and her golden personality is already shining through.  She is wonderful with our children (4 and 6), is affectionate, and is well-mannered.  She gets along great with our resident golden/lab and cat.  She rides in the car well and doesn't pull on a leash.  She knows basic commands and listens well.

The vet said she is a healthy girl with the exception of an ear infection that we are treating.  One unique characteristic of Cassie is her tail, which is bobbed (shortened) and is likely that way due to an amputation from trauma.

Cassie loves to be petted and brushed and is always up for a cuddle.  She is not a velcro dog, but does like to be by you (she is laying in her crate right now as I type).  She doesn't show any resource guarding and is a typical golden in that she likes to retrieve and carry a ball or toy.
