Chance 06-527 [1]

1/5/07: After much confusion and a long period in a boarding kennel, Chance arrived at his new foster home. Both foster parents and dog have jointly resolved that 2007 will be a better year than 2006. This sweet guy arrived with terrible ear infections, at least 10 lbs underweight, as smelly as you would ever want, teeth that needed cleaning, desperate for human companionship and a mountain of pent up energy. He is a 7 year old, intact male with a beautiful deep red color and a need to be touched and loved. His ears were so bad, we immediately took him to vet who did a good cleaning and Chance is now on twice a day ear medicine. He didn't like the vet poking in his ears but we think he was just so uncomfortable he couldn't stand them being touched. Since then we have put medicine in his ears 4 times without trouble. He doesn't like it but is willing to put up with it for some pieces of hot dog. He shakes his head a great deal and must be very uncomfortable. Despite this he is friendly and seems to like other dogs.
