Cheyenne/Zoe 06-280 [1]

6/25/06: Hi, my name is Zoe... or ZoZo or Baby Z... I guess I'm not really sure yet but they've been calling me all these Z names since I got here last night. Foster mom says it fits me because I'm a spitfire!... and she said she means that in the best way possible! I'm a 13-week old Lab mix and have big brown eyes and look just like a Lab except I think my ears are a little small... but that's ok, foster mom says maybe I won't get so many ear infections! These nice people from RAGOM brought me and my sister Ginny 06-279 and a few other nice dogs from a shelter down south where they said we needed to leave right away or something bad might have happened! I'm so glad I never had to find out what it was... we had a really long van ride yesterday so I was REALLY happy to get to a house with a yard and a big furry playmate. At first I thought it might be my mom but when I tried to nurse, it wasn't like I remembered and it turns out he didn't like me biting him there. But we still had so much fun and we ran circles all around the yard in the rain... boy did it feel good to stretch my legs! Finally foster mom said she couldn't stand my smell anymore so we went in the house for a bath... that took a long time and I was a little scared, but it turned out all right because she is much more cuddly with me now.

Here are a few details she told me to write: I checked out great at the vet today, am up-to-date on shots and have already been spayed... whatever that means. I have an ear infection but hey, that's not bad for a kid who's spent half her life behind bars. I really like other dogs and wasted no time before playing with my fur sibling here, but I'm still a little shy around people. Mom says I need to make up for some lost time, and something about a big word like "Socialization". I guess I didn't get enough of that at the shelter. But she says we have big plans this week so I can't wait! More soon...

PS- I don't have fleas... I am scratching in my pictures because they put this red thing around my neck and I'm just not sure I want it there!
