The amazing Cody is 7 years old and a PB Golden Retriever. He was surrendered because his previous owners felt they weren’t able to give him the attention and exercise that he needs. It’s obvious that Cody was very well loved in his previous home. He passed his vet visit today with flying colors and is now up to date on vaccines. His fecal and heartworm test were also negative. Cody will be neutered next Thursday (4/11) and will be ready to go to his forever home as soon as he heals. He will be micro-chipped this week. Cody weighs 61 pounds and is close to his ideal weight of 63-65 pounds. He did great for his bath, ear cleaning, nail trim, and grooming.
Cody moved into our home like he’s lived here his entire life. He is an extremely happy dog and loves everyone he meets! He gets along with our resident dog, Finn, and foster brother, Vinnie 12-382. Cody loves kids (lived with young ones in his previous home and an 8 year old here) and he gets along with our cats. The only negative thing I have found with Cody is that he pulls on the leash. He does much better with a Gentle Leader. He is just SO excited to meet people and smell new things! He would definitely benefit from obedience classes. Cody is very active for his age and loves to play fetch and go for walks! He also likes to wrestle and play tug with the other dogs. Cody would do well in almost any home. He will need a fenced in yard, as it is reported that he will wander off if allowed to be outside off-leash. At this point, we don’t think he has any other requirements.
