Hi Everyone

My name is Copper and I am using the computer because Foster Mom(FM) and Foster Dad(FD) cannot come up with enough words to describe how GReat I am.  Since they cannot decide what to write, I will write something myself cuz I want a forever family of my very own!

I am a country boy from South Dakota.  My former Mom gave me to RAGOM because she wanted me to have a life without being bullied.  She said I am too sweet of a dog not to have loving brothers or sisters or even to be an only dog.  I want to thank her for doing such a hard thing and putting my best interests first.

Now, more about me:

  • I am a healthy male golden lab mix born in March 2010 and weigh 78 pounds
  • I am house trained, crate trained and I am trusted with free roam of the house
  • I am cat friendly (Foster Kitty Brothers Buttons and Harley and I get along well)
  • I am dog friendly (Foster Brother Maksymilian and next door neighbors Gracie and Ebby are my BFFs)

  • I love going for rides (cars, trucks, vans—I ride well in them all)
  • I enjoy my treats and take them nicely
  • Tennis Balls – do I need to say more except “please throw it again and again and again…

  • Squishy toys -  next best thing to Tennis Balls
  • I always have a waggy tail, even when you just look at me
  • One of my distinguishing features – a big tongue (no this picture is not altered)

  • I am very obedient, I come when I am called (not just for dinner like my FB Maksy!).
I do, however, pull when walking on a leash.  FD says we are going to work on that.
  • I think that I probably do not need a fenced in yard if you are with me.
I am smart enough to be boundary trained.
  • I love to be near my people
  • Sometimes when I get really excited I only have two paws on the ground, but a gentle no reminds me that I need to mind my manners
  • We haven’t had any storms or fireworks, so FM & FD cannot vouch for me that I am brave and not bothered by all that noise
  • I have not been around kids since I’ve come to my foster home, but my former Mom says that I am good around them. FM says that seeing is believing and I will soon be kid tested.
  • I do not resource guard – look at me and FB Maks playing with the tuggy toy

Well, enough about me for now, FM is telling me that it is bath time—I wonder if she has a yellow rubber ducky for me to play with?

Please contact your placement advisor if you would like me to be a part of your family!
