Daisy is three, a purebred Golden female of average size and is just as sweet as can be. She came to RAGOM due to severe allergies in the surrendering family. She is in perfect health and has no behavioral issues.

She is all Golden, however. She wants to be where the people are. If you move, she moves. Be careful going down stairs because once she sees that you are headed down she needs to come along ... and be the first one to the bottom. That means that you'll get passed while you descend. If you don't realize that she is coming around you there could be an "issue".

A ball is the plaything of choice. She'll spend as much time as you can spare chasing a thrown ball. If she can't find a ball to play with, any toy that squeaks is the next best thing. Sometimes, however, she does feel the need to perform a "squeaker-ectomy" on the toy. Once the squeaker has been removed and rendered noiseless, she can relax and take a nap knowing that she has done her part to disarm the toy.

She walks very nicely on leash if you use a Gentle Leader but she will pull a little too strongly with just a leash. She has free run of the house when we are home but goes into a crate when we are gone. She will often go into the crate (we leave the door open) to take a little nap during the day. At night she sleeps on a pet bed in the bedroom.

Daisy plays well with other dogs. Daisy loves children (well, actually, she loves everyone) but we don't know about how she'd respond to a cat. When someone comes to the door she'll give a big bark or two but there is seldom any other barking (except when she is saying, "Come on! Throw the ball!").

Daisy is thrilled to ride in the car. She spends most of her time lying down but will pop up at stop signs to take a good look at her surroundings. We wouldn't let a dog on the furniture but it wouldn't take much of an invite to end up with Daisy sitting with you on the couch, her head in your lap.
