Profile

FM told me that I needed to get on this plastic box and tell the world about myself. Let me introduce you to myself. My name is Doogy and I am four years old. They say I am a Black Lab/Golden mix, but FM says I could even be a Black Coat Retriever. Either way I am a VERY handsome boy. How do I know this?? Because FM tells me this ALL the time, so it must be true. I am also the bestest boy. How do I know this?? FM tells my that I am ALL the time so, I must be. I am house trained, good with cats, good with other dogs. I LOVE to play and run with my FB's and my FS's. I am good with kids. Especially when they play with me. Until I am trained a little more, a physical fence would be best for me, so I can run, run, run. FM says that unless someone is home all day, I would be better with another dog for the company.

When I went to see the good doctor they said that I was 60.2 lbs. The good doctor said that I needed to gain about 10 lbs. Goody, goody, goody!!!!!! That means that I get to eat more and I am being good and helping with that.  :) I will put my paws up on the counter, but not to take food. I just want to see what is going on and maybe I will get some pets and lovin' up there. When I am told to get off, that we do not do that, I listen pretty well. Sometimes though I have to be encouraged and helped, but I get right down. I follow FM ALL over and I think I do that because just maybe I will get some pets. I LOVE to be petted and loved on. I am a lover boy.

I listen really well, come when I am called most of the time, and I know how to sit. When I am told "No" I listen really well also. I do pull on a leash, but we are working on that. I still need work though. I do like to jump up on people, but only to get pets and lovin'. I do not jump hard. FM is teaching me not to jump up on people and that if I come up to her and sit instead of jumping, that I get lots of pets and love. FM says that I would make a wonderful therapy dog and that she would LOVE to keep me, but with having four residentdogs already, she will look for another wonderful forever home for me. She said that someone will be VERY VERY lucky to be owned by me. If you are that lucky someone, please talk to your placement advisor.

I know how to play ball and I love them!
