Duke (Dakota 09-368) [1]

Dakota is so happy to be a RAGOM dog! He is not a PB Golden but a beautiful lab mix who was locked in a garage because his owners did not want him around. They thought he would stay a puppy and didn't spend any time with him.  He got his poor little tail broken and it was left to heal crookedly, although he is okay now. A Good Samaritan got him into RAGOM, and now he is ready for the good life! Thanks, GS!

Dakota has been here for two days now and has really settled in. He had a long car ride and does not really enjoy cars yet. He is not a problem in the car---just a bit nervous and definitely wants to get out when you do. Thanks, Tamra, for letting me know that (and all the other things you learned about him as his temporary foster!) He will definitely be a good car rider soon, once he learns it is a way to be with his people and to get to fun places (and not just the garage).

Dakota follows me everywhere and raises a big fuss if there is a door between us.  He has found his way under the desk and is resting his head on my feet.

A few things Dakota wants adopters to know:
Spend time with me please!
I will cuddle with you whenever you are sitting.
Please don't sit all the time, though, I love exercise!
I am great with other dogs.
I am not great with small animals.
I am okay with cats but I do want to be friendly.
I come when called.
Spend time with me!
I love to swim!
I am great with kids, babies, teens, old people, young people, any people!
I probably don't need a fence because I just want to be with you!
I would love obedience class and I am SMART and eager to learn and please.

Dakota will have a vet visit for updates on vaccinations on Tuesday. He will need to be neutered and then he will be ready to snuggle with the lucky family or person that adopts him!
