Erika is a sweet, dark red, 5-year-old Golden who is retiring from the breeding life. She has 5 puppies that she is currently taking care of: Ezra, Ethan, Enzio, Etta, and Evan. This will be her last litter, and then she will be spayed and ready to have a family of her very own. Erika is adapting to living life indoors. She is very sweet, but shy and is slowly coming out of her shell. She has from day 1 run up to my husband, me, and my daughter with tail wagging, giving kisses and looking for pets, and is learning new things each day. She now navigates our stairs pretty well with a little gentle coaxing, is learning to do her business outside, and she is learning how to walk on a leash.
She gets along well with my 3 dogs and has been fine around our cats as well. She loves to carry things around in her mouth, shoes, toys, papers, but she doesn't chew on them. She has been great about letting us and our friends handle her puppies with no protesting. As we get to know Erika better, we will continue to update you. She will be ready to go to her forever home after she is spayed, but can entertain interested adopters prior to that. Please let your placement advisor know if you think Erika would be a good fit.
