Profile
Phineaus is an adorable purebred Golden puppy born November 8th, 2011 which makes him 15 weeks old. We call him Finn and he came to RAGOM via a family that only had him for two weeks and quickly realized they had underestimated the time and work involved to raise a puppy. Thank you to that family for wanting the best for Finn and calling RAGOM! We are not sure what the first 3 months of his life were like as he was bought from a pet store. I can tell you that he is a very sweet boy. He has settled in and seems fairly confident. Finn is curious about the world and only shows fear when my resident boy Skye does his big boy alert bark. Then Finn comes running with his ears tucked.
This cutie-pie is a bundle of puppy energy! If you have forgotten what that was like let me remind you---the puppy zoomies, tearing around the house or the yard from one end to the other, pestering every dog in sight, jumping, nipping, chewing on anything that looks fun--socks, Skye, chairs, electric chords, Skye, shoes, gloves, Skye. You get the picture. He is easily redirected to an appropriate toy but his attention span is short!

The thing about puppies is--they are so hysterically funny and so adorable that it is hard to resist them. A good year of working with them on manners and you have a great dog for life with just a bit of regular practice. Think about it.
Finn is crate trained and goes in easily with a treat and some toys when we head off to work. At night, he even puts himself into his crate as we head for bed. Not a peep out of him until the alarm goes off. He is 99% house trained and has only had one accident. He keeps his crate clean but I have a dog walker that comes midday to let them all out. Due to his age this midday check will be important for Finn until he is 8-9 months old. With an immature bladder it is unfair to expect a puppy to hold it for a normal work day. He needs his vet check, microchip and neuter and then he will be ready for his forever family.
