This is the most recent information available; however, it may change as we learn more about the dog.

RAGOM has welcomed Georgia. She is an  18 month old female Golden/lab mix. She has been seen by a vet and brought up to date with her vaccinations and microchipped.  She will be spayed.  Here is her story.

Meet Georgia, a 40-45 lb lab/golden mix.  After her owner passed away, his family arrived and boarded up his trailer and left her there to fend for herself.  The neighbors were aware of this poor homeless dog and reached out to her, feeding her.  There was staff at  a  Dialysis Clinic who were loving on her too.  Georgia is very friendly and trusting.  T he local rescue was notified.   It was said, when they pulled up to the abandoned trailer she ran right out and hopped in the car! "She was so joyful, she almost knocked me over, easiest rescue ever!!"

Georgia is now with RAGOM and in foster care.  She's been in my home for a little over a week and she is very special.  She bonded with me, she's kind and gentle. Georgia is very friendly and social.  Always wagging her tail.  She brings joy to me and people who meet her. This is truly a very nice, well behaved dog. Pretty mellow, not at all roudy.

Georgia is very easy, she's house trained.  There has not been a single accident.  I don't kennel her, so she has the run of the house.  She is not destructive. Shoes on the floor, no problem, she's not even interested.  There hasn't been any counter surfing or trash digging,

She would be happy living with a person or family, with or without children and a secure fenced in yard because she loves to be outside.  We get out for a walk a couple times a day and she's good on the leash.  Georgia would make an awesome sister to another dog.  Hasn't been cat tested yet.
