Goldie 08-169 [1]

Goldie arrived at her new fosterhome in Iowa last night after a VERY long transport.  This sweet girl was an absolute angel all the way back the last few hours, sitting quietly in the back. 

Goldie met the resident golden Maren and shih tzu Yosi very well, as well as the little dog from next door visiting for spring break.  No problems with the cats, either!!! 

Goldie went to the vet today for a once-over.  She weighs 69# and has already been spayed.  The vet estimates her age to be around three.  She and another golden were found at the side of the road in far northern MN and for the past several weeks, has been living in the garage of a good samaritan.  She was at sometime, someone's beloved pet.  She knows several commands and is very sweet and gentle.  Goldie has the THICKEST fur we have ever seen.  It is very light and soft.  She had a spa treatment today and is very beautiful!

The only problem Goldie has right now is that she tested positive for Lyme's disease.  She has been treated and additional bloodwork will be checked.  She has started on a 30 day regime of medicine.  She has also been started on FL/HW meds.
