Welcome to RAGOM sweet Honey.

Honey is a ~2 year old Golden, with a medium colored coat. Honey was a reservation rescue so very little is known about her. Honey is a lean 53 lbs. girl. I am currently feeding her Dick VanPatten’s Venison and sweet potato, she really likes it. She is in good health, very silky and up to date on her med’s. She is currently not on HW or FT meds. She was spayed and is now getting her energy back.

She arrived at my home 12 days ago and is settling in well. As I’m getting to know Honey, here is what I have learned so far

  • She came to me from a reservation and was an outside dog.
  • She is house trained and there have been no accidents.
  • She has not been baby gated or crated trained. I crated her the first night and she didn’t like it, but was very quiet. Since then she has slept on the floor in my bedroom.
  • I think if you leave her she should be contained because she is just a little girl and likes to get into Kleenex, toilet paper and socks.
  • I gave her a teddy bear and she didn’t pull out the stuffing and carries it around with her.
  • She is quite shy and hesitant, but very mellow for a 2 year old.
  • She is a Velcro dog and needs training for good manners, she also thinks she is a lap dog.
  • She is unknown about children, but seems to like people in general.
  • Walks very well with a flat collar.
  • Is learning basic commands: sit, down, settle.
  • She doesn’t know how to play ball, so we will work on that.
  • She does not like to get into or out of the car, I think it’s something new and she will learn to like it.
  • She did very well at the vet, happy to meet the vet and attendants.
  • Since she had surgery, she hasn’t been able to get out and socialize with other dogs so that is unknown.
  • I did babysit a friend’s dog for a few days and there were no issues.
  • She loves to chase the birds in the back yard and fly’s through air, fun to watch her in the snow.
  • Since she is not voice trained, a fenced yard would be a plus.
  • Her little face reminds me of a teddy bear, so cute.

Honey is a real honey, if you think she would be the perfect fit for you, please contact your placement advisor.
