Meet Hunter! This handsome 10 year old Golden Retriever is energetic, affectionate, and happy. Hunter is housetrained, neutered, has no known health problems, and seems much younger than his age. He is by no means a "senior citizen" and is physically fit and playful. Hunter has had a life filled with many changes and is ready for a forever home to spend his golden years. I'll summarize his life as we know it.

Hunter became a RAGOM dog in 2000 when he was a young, spry 2 year old dog. He was adopted and lived with a young family for about 5 years. His family discovered he was anxious around small children and surrendered him back to RAGOM in the fall of 2005 when he was about 8 years old. Hunter was then adopted by a couple with no children in January 2006. They recently had a baby and thought it would be best to let him find a new home without young children. He was surrendered back to RAGOM by this family of three.

This sweet boy's ideal family will be dog savvy handlers who will spend time gaining Hunter’s trust and love. They will play fetch with him daily to keep him physically fit and happy. Hunter’s family should consist of adults only although teenagers would be fine. Another canine friend would be fun for Hunter but no cats. He likes cats too much for his own good.
