As of March 17, 2013 the RAGOM Board approved removing the physical fence requirement for adopters of puppy mill dogs. Instead, the foster family will determine whether their foster dog needs a fence to be kept safe.
Jasmine does NOT need a fence!
Jasmine still needs another medium-sized dog to give her support, no children under 10 and... a very loving forever family!

RAGOM is proud to present Miss Jasmine 13-040. She is a 7 y/o purebred female. She is a petite, 57 pound, dark gold girl with a loving personality. “Jazz” was surrendered to RAGOM from a breeder. She has spent her whole life as a breeding dog, so coming into a home was a very new experience for her. She has been in our home for just over a week and has come so far in such a short period of time! We are taking it slow with her, following her lead. She is really making gains…check it out-
- She has mastered stairs.
- She has two “safe” spots- one in the family room behind the couch and one in our bedroom on her pillow where she sleeps at night. While she spends a lot of her down time in these locations, she isn’t shy to come out when called.
- She is starting to learn about toys…she will now pick them up and take them to her spot.
- She has mastered going to the bathroom outside (instead of not going) and is making progress with housetraining.
- She loves our resident dog. She would do best in a home with another confident dog as this is how she is learning to be a beloved part of the family instead of just a breeder.
- No food aggressions- she “shares” her bowl with our RD and vice-versa!
- She gives you lots of kisses and “the golden paw”- she’ll crawl up in your lap if allowed!
- Rides well in the car.
Over the next couple of weeks we will be working on walks with a leash out front & introductions to children, possibly cats. We will continue to work on basic commands- she is already pretty good with “sit” and “shake”. She’s a pretty quick learner considering she didn’t know how to take a treat a week ago. I think she would thrive in some obedience classes-not because she has bad behaviors, but she would become so much more confident and would bond with her new family is such a great way.
Medically, she is nearly ready to go. She is current on all vaccinations and preventatives (heartworm and flea/tic). She is scheduled to be spayed and will have her beauty mark removed by her eye on February 19, so she will need a little recovery time before she is ready for adoption. Follow her progress over the next couple of weeks- she’s amazing. Please thoughtfully consider giving this girl a new life as part of your family.
