Hi, Jazz here. Well, I know I'm not a real Golden, but in heart and personality I am. I am staying with my temp foster family and having a fun time. I will be going to my permanent foster in Sioux City come Friday. So then my foster mom will write about me. Meanwhile I thought I'd take a break from playing and tell you a bit about myself.
I don't remember where I came from, but after sitting in doggie jail since the 19th I was more than happy to venture out to a home with 3 other dogs and hang out. There was lots of chew things and good company. Today I came to St. Cloud in the doggie mobile. I met resident Jake (who was a RAGOM foster til his foster mom decided she couldn't part with him) and I have a foster brother to play with, Ranger 07-237. Well, I was wonderful riding in the van, though a little drooly. I ate pretty good when we got here, then we went out and played ball. Oh boy that is my forte in life. I don't know much, but I can chase, retrieve and drop the ball at your feet like a champ. They keep asking me to do some silly stuff like, sit, down, wait.....whatever that means. I do come when called and I was fine running "free dragging a long nylon rope" and chasing balls. I did have 2 accidents in the house only cuz the humans here didn't get my signal to go out....I get ancy and pace around. Hopefully I will have them trained in the next day or two. Meanwhile I haven't chewed on anything I shouldn't, have enjoyed the balls...any kind of ball and some marrow bones. I met one of the resident cats, Coulter. He seems to be Ranger's buddy. Anyway, I saw, I smelled and moved on. Don't know what anyone sees in them furry little things, but I don't care one way or the other about them.
I love to be petted and got up on the sofa for a little for some special one on one with foster mom tonight. Jake wasn't real happy and Ranger tried to join us. Got a bit crowded. Anyway, I'm willing to snuggle and love my human's attention.
I was out to potty tonight and the sky was lighting up and making noises but didn't bother me in the least. I have played pretty hard and am ready for bed, so guess I'll call it a night and go with the troops up stairs and go to bed. I am going to be on my best behaviour and show my fosters I can be trusted to spend the night in the bedroom.
I'll let FM tell you how it goes.
So, unless you want to have to meet me in Sioux City, you better contact placement before Friday, cuz after that I'm outta here. Just write to placement
ragom [dot] org and ask for Jazz 07-511. Meanwhile...I'll just hang out and play here.
Oh yeah, I'm about a year old, really pretty much pottied trained, am up to date on my shots, been microchipped, and someone must have loved me cuz I had the 'snip' so as to not add to the over population of us 4 legged furr butts running around. I am as sweet as can be, you can pull at my ears and tail and I don't even flinch. My foster mom keeps saying 'good boy' everytime I do stuff. Guess I must be special even if I'm not a real Golden Retriever....just an honorary one. And proud to be one!!
