Jenny 04-401 [1]

We picked Jenny up last night and she is a delight. She is a 5-year-old blonde Golden Retriever. She is short and only weighs 50 pounds. She did very well in the car. She just sat quietly in the back seat. She was very excited to explore our condo. She enjoyed the elevator ride. She did counter surf a little when we first got in the door but she has not been up on the counters again. I think she was just checking out the place and sniffing everywhere.

She likes tennis balls very much. She'll hold the ball in her mouth and kind of sing/moan in this deep tone. It's very cute and funny. She slept at the foot of our bed. At first she was barking at people that would walk by in the hallway that woke her up from her sleep but we just closed our bedroom door. After that she slept through the night comfortably.

This morning I took her for a 4-mile run and she is a great running buddy for my slow 11-minute-a-mile pace. She does very well with her Gentle Leader.

She does need to go to a home that has a fenced-in yard. Jenny has mastered the art of escaping from the invisible fence. She does very well with kids but is timid around bigger dogs and she gets along with cats.

This weekend we're going up to the Iron Range so she'll get to explore.
