9/21/06: Meet the Labor of Love Puppies!!

This is Julius, one of nine orphaned puppies from Iowa. After their mother went missing, RAGOM was called, and they ended up coming to Northern Minnesota where we had a female Golden still nursing a pup. Julius and his siblings are now eating out of a bowl, eating formula mixed with puppy food. In the coming week they will be weaned off the formula and will be eating puppy food only.

Julius is now four weeks old, and he looks very much like his brother, Hayden. I can tell the difference between them by looking at their noses. Julius has a black and brown nose and his brother has a black nose. The mother of these nine puppies was a Chocolate Lab and the father was a Golden Retriever. Julius has the short hair of a Lab.
