Profile

Hello RAGOMland!!! We've got Kramer in the house!!!!

Kramer is a shorter hair with some waves GR and turned 7 on 12/4! You wouldn't know he was 7, he still has a lot of spark in him!!! He is a tall boy and was last weighed in at 70#s. We are taking him to the vet Thursday for a wellness and fecal test and will post that later. He seems to be a healthy boy with an occasional ear infection when he gets wet. So his previous owner put cotton balls in his ears so he wouldn't get infections.

Kramer has been with us since Monday and boy has he settled in to our routine! Here is what we know, so far!

  • Walks well on a gentle leader, did the bucking bronco at first but realizes that it is staying on.
  • Haven't seen any resource guarding, both dogs eat in the kitchen right next to each other and drink out of the same bowl.
  • Takes treats nicely!
  • Unsure about cats as he hasn't been exposed to them and we don't have a cat.
  • Does ok with commands, sit, kennel up, go lay down but could use some obedience training.
  • If opportunity exists, he would be a counter/table surfer.
  • He will talk to ya, not sure what he is asking/saying, so we are still trying to figure that out. By no means is it excessive.
  • Does well with dogs and kids.
  • Has the Golden Lean! Loves his scratches.
  • Likes the bed and couch if you let him, I am thinking he was allowed on the furniture at his previous home. Here we have doggy beds all around.
  • Will kennel up when asked, doesn't like it that much but we kennel our dogs while we are gone until we get to know them better. Though, I could see him having free roam because of his age.
  • Did I say walks well!!! I took both dogs (resident and Kramer) and resident was pulling in front and Kramer was taking his sweet time bringing up the rear!
  • He is used to a fence and did well.

As I said above, Kramer didn't take long to settle into our routine. He follows FM and FD around and will relax when you relax. He is such a good boy!

Is Kramer who you have been looking for? If so, please let your placement advisor know!
