Lady 10-391 [1]

Lady is a 39# two year old sweetheart. For those of you looking for that perfect mix - look no more! We don't know exactly what's in her gene pool but we're sure having fun trying to guess. FD's betting on Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever. FM's leaning towards Sheltie and/or a little Brittany or Springer Spaniel. But whatever the mix, she sure is a cutie!

Lady made the very long journey to our house from NW MN on Wednesday. Shortly after arrival she trotted by the resident cat without a problem, said a friendly hello to senior resident Bailey, and engaged young resident Josie (Lacey 09-048) in a game of tug. She ate a nice dinner in the laundry room, went outside to go potty (YAY!), and slept quietly in a crate in our bedroom. She's a dream foster!

Lady does pull on leash, so we'll be working on walking with a Gentle Leader. She knows how to sit, comes when called, and hasn't had any accidents in the house. She's a very smart and energetic girl so her furever family will have to keep her physically and mentally active.

Lady had her first vet visit and was given a clean bill of health. She does have a little redness on her nose but the vet said using a little hydrocortisone cream should help clear it up. Based on her pearly whites the vet guessed her age 1-1.5 years old. Lady is scheduled for her spay on Monday.

Lady spent the first two years of her life on a chain in a backyard. She was saved from the cold by a small rescue agency. While in their care Lady lived with dogs, cats, and small children and got along with everyone. Due to limited resources the agency asked RAGOM to step in and help this lovely little girl find her furever home.
