Laycee has made her way into the loving care of RAGOM.  I have to say it is not a moment too soon.  Laycee was given to the Rapid City Human Society last week.  A RAGOM volunteer was called to see if RAGOM would help and the chain started to form.  I decided that I could make the 9 hour drive to Rapid City and pick up Laycee and Lester.  By the time I left, I left with 4 dogs that were going into RAGOM care.

Laycee is in very poor shape, these pictures do not even show how bad her wounds really are.  They are terrible.  But we are ready to help her gain about 15 pounds, heal the wounds and figure out her medical condition.  We are going to have a test done to find out if she has Cushing’s Disease.  I hope to get that done in the next few days.  Then we will go from there on her treatment plan.

Laycee is so gentle and caring; she is a great girl that has been through a lot.  The vet really thought she was older than 7 but who knows.  So if you are looking to rescue a real golden who is in need and would love to find a home of her own.  Please let placement know so she can meet you while she is looking for her permanent foster.
