Sponsored by: Keith and Sally Carlson Hi all. Here is Morgan. She is a very serious puppy mill dog that came up from MO in April. She has been with us for 3 weeks now and still runs from people in fear. She is about 2.5 years old. She is very timid and panicky around loud noises or sudden movement. She is not quite house trained yet. She had 8 week old pups (Levi, Wrangler, and Guess) that came with her and her belly is still dragging a bit. She weighed in at 60 pounds. The picture of her under the kitchen table is how we see her most of the time. It is a safe spot for her, as is her doggie bed. When she runs to it she will lie down and let me approach her, but she is very frightened. If I get down on her eye level she is more willing to let me touch her. She definitely has to be in an enclosed yard or on a leash or she will run.She has the sweetest personality. She is starting to blossom outside now. She loves to run and is an enthusiastic squirrel hound. She likes to be outside and she likes to dig! Morgan will definitely have to go to a home that has another dog, as she has no clue what dogs are supposed to do. For her, it is just going to take some time for her to build up that trust in people again. But she is a very loving and gentle dog. She fits in anywhere and has no aggression or resource guarding issues and she likes our cat as well. She will make some family a very good pet, but they will need patience and understanding in dealing with her fears. She is a beautiful dog.
