Luther 17-165 [1]

Luther is a 4 month old purebred Golden Retriever. He came to us from a breeder in Missouri with his brother Jonathan. He was a little unsure of what to think of his new surroundings when he came to our house, but he is blossoming into a sweet, playful and wonderful puppy.

He has had his first check up at the vet where everything checked out great. He weighed in at 35 lbs on August 28th. He is scheduled to have his neuter surgery this Friday September 15th. After he recovers from this, he will be ready to go to his forever family!

Luther is a silly, playful and fun pup. He definitely still needs to be watched, as he loves to get into all things that aren't his. He seems to love our shoes, and anything else that we happen to leave in his site. He likes to carry them around, not chew them up. We are working on his basic commands. He can sit and lay down. He loves to play outside, and has been doing well with potty training. He still has a few accidents, which comes along with having a puppy. He is easily distracted if he is doing something that he shouldn't be. He crates well, just lets you know he isn't too happy to be away from his humans at night by yelping a little as he settles in. We are currently working on walking him with a leash. He has come a long way since we first put one on him. He has learned what it means when we go for a walk and he loves them. He gets along great with our resident dog Robbie. They play for hours at a time, and wear each other out. 

Luther is a great dog that will make an excellent resident dog for a lucky family. He is looking for a family that will continue to be patient with him as he is learning what is right and wrong in his new life.
