Maggie arrived safely in the Twin Cities after a long drive in the snow. This beautiful, dark red girl was a stray found wandering the countryside near Rochester.  A good Samaritan rescued her and called RAGOM. 

Her vet summary indicates that Maggie is about 10 years old.  She is a petite little gal, weighing in at about 55 lbs.  She's a little deaf, has a growth on her right eyelid, and her teeth look a little worse for the wear. Her coat is gorgeous, and now that she's had great bath and spa treatment, she can say it's burr and mat free. And oh so soft. 

The meet and greet with my two dogs and two cats is an ongoing work in progress.  My resident male is a bit rude.  He tends to snark at strange dogs, and Maggie told him what she thought of his manners.  The resident female stayed true to her party girl ways and play bowed, romped and tried every trick she knew to show Maggie what a fun loving gal she is.  The cats watched it all unfold like muses in some ancient play.  After half a day of circling each other, and a couple of mis-starts, calmness reigns.  I was even able to snap a couple of pictures of the beginning of two great friendships.  Maggie and Cody 07-149 and Maggie and Woobs - the resident cat in charge.
