Mason is a charmer! His previous owners lavished attention, love and excellent care on this boy - they made sure all his vaccinations were up to date, had him groomed and his teeth cleaned before regretfully surrendering him to RAGOM on Wednesday, November 27th. Mason growled at their two-year old daughter when she climbed on him while he was sleeping. They felt, to be safe, that they should not have a dog while their child is so young. Toddlers are unpredictable and many dogs are nervous around them.

Mason had surgery for swallowing half a baseball last month. His sutures have been removed and his incision is healing nicely. In another couple of weeks, it will be just a very faded line on his belly. His coat has already started to grow back where he was shaved.

Mason is beautiful, charming, loving, very smart, high energy 5-year old, deep red Golden Retriever. He has had the beginner and intermediate levels of obedience, responds well to both voice commands and hand signals, loves people and other dogs and loves to cuddle. He was a big draw at the RAGOM booth at the Minneapolis Kennel Club Dog Show on Saturday. He greeted everyone who came to the booth by leaning up against them and asking to be loved. His tail wagged constantly - he's definitely a very social boy! His "wave good-bye" trick was a big hit as well. If I could, I would keep him myself!

He will make a wonderful addition to a loving family and already I know I will miss him when he is adopted.
