Well Hello everyone my name is Milo aka Leo, but I will respond to any kind voice that talks to me!!!

Please let me first start out by thanking the sheriff of Kandiyohi County for saving my life and removing me from a very poor and neglectful situation that will offer me the life that I deserve.

To the amazing and wonderful Humane Society of Kandiyohi County Hawk Creek Animal Shelter for taking me in and feeding me and loving me and giving me safety (and a bath….thanks Lavonna) and love in my very scary world. If it were not places like you dogs like me would DIE!!! Then the animal shelter decided what was in the best interest of ME which was to surrender me to RAGOM (because I am a gorgeous Golden) so that I could get the best life ever and get the vetting and health care that I deserve!!! I will require some specialty vetting for my eyes. Thank you with all the love and kisses I can hand out!!!

I have been in many places since last week and have traveled around but am now in Dayton MN with my Foster Mom and Moose!! I am blind and cannot see at all so my world is scary and dark!! I went to the vet and had a complete work over and the results are….….drum roll please... AWESOME. I am very healthy, everything looks great and NO diabetes, YAH for ME. Also I appear to be a golden that does not have skin issues and my ears looked great that is really good news too!!!

I have a safe place to be now, and food (I love food considering I did not get any and had to fend for myself). Yummy food and water I get it in the morning and again in the evening. I have my kennel to slip away and sleep in and a COUCH -- man, this thing beats the outside and cold for sure. I am a very happy dog and my tail is always wagging. I am thrilled with any attention….and I need to be next to you. I love to be loved up and my foster mom calls my paws “the claw” -  I love to put my front paws up on you and reach for you. So far all I can tell you is that I am safe and loved and have food and water and security right now and I thank everyone involved for helping me get here. Now my FM wants to talk------oh bother I was not done!!!

Wow I want to tell you that Milo is so beautiful and sweet and a smaller golden, but with all the wonderful Golden attributes. Milo is around 5 and very playful and puppy like, he is a love bug and loves to snuggle with you. Milo weighs about 56 pounds and is very skinny, you can see he is boney. Milo is blind with mature cataracts but seems to have found his way around my house very well. He trusts your voice and will follow you, he needs your voice and his nose to get him around. I took he and Moose for a walk last night and he is not the best walker he pulls a bit but with guidance I have no doubt he can learn to walk well and be so pleased to get a walk with you. We have a doctor appointment to have his eyes looked at by an ophthalmologist on Monday March 1. Please cross your toes and fingers that the cataracts can be removed and he will be able to see again :-}.

His coat is soft and beautiful all the feathers had to be cut off his tail and legs and butt due to his matted and smelly condition. But when all this grows back in he will be stunningly pretty. All I know is that this sweet boy will make someone a wonderful dog!!! If you think that you want to have a beautiful boy like me in your life just fill out the paperwork and you could be my NEW forever home. Milo will be forever grateful and bless your life.
