Molly 07-401 [1]

6/19/07: Meet Molly, who is a spayed 6 year old Golden.  What a nice dog!!  We are enjoying having her in our household and watching her blossom.

Unfortunately, Molly's family recently lost their home and are living in a motel and could not keep Molly.  We met Molly and her owner in Fargo on Father's Day.  What a sad day for Molly and her "dad".  Molly tried so hard to get back in the car with him and was DEVASTATED to be left behind.  She continually tried to pull me back to the street where his car had been, laid down in the road and did not want to leave.  Despite that, she traveled well to Alexandria, but did insist that I constantly pet her.  She settled down quite easily when we got home and put her to bed in our utility room.

The next day, she was very sad and laid by the back door all morning and didn't care to interact with me or resident dog Lacy.  By evening, she was much more social and she also had a spa night - a bath, a pedicure, ear cleaning and brushing (she loved that!).  Now, she's a new woman!  This morning, she met me with her tail wagging and has been a happy dog all day.  We have bonded already!!  She loves to go on walks, be petted, brushed --- and ride in the boat!  Tomorrow, it's off to the vet.
