Morgan is a gorgeous and friendly 9 year old purebred female Golden Retriever. Don’t let her age fool you; she has the looks and energy level of a much younger dog!

Morgan is such an easy and fun foster. She met resident Goldens Josie (4) and Bailey (12) without a problem. She definitely likes to be in the same room as us, but does not demand a lot of attention. We learned very quickly to spell the word W A L K when we are getting ready to W A L K because as soon as Morgan hears the word W A L K she twirls and tells you how excited she is. She is adorable and is so smart!

Morgan is very well trained. She comes up to us and gives us a little “woof” when she needs to go out. She is very quick about taking care of business while on her leash. She knows sit pretty, sit and shake, lie down, roll over, and can flip and catch a treat off of her nose. She walks nicely with a flat collar and has pretty good recall. A fenced yard is probably not necessary as long as her people are diligent about keeping an eye on her as she loves to use her nose and can cover a lot of ground in a short period of time.

Morgan is up to date on her vaccinations and weighed a perfect 64# at her RAGOM vet visit. She has suffered seizures since she was one but from what we were told her seizures are very well managed with phenobarbital. Blood was drawn at her vet appointment and her phenobarbital levels are right where they should be. She hasn't had any seizures in the week she's been with us.

Morgan does need to have a dead tooth removed. While under anesthesia the vet will also be removing a cyst located on the back of her neck. Her surgery is scheduled for 3/21/13. Morgan will not be ready for adoption until after her surgery but if you would like to learn more about this little sweetheart please contact your placement advisor.
