Nicole is a 5.5 year old female born on March 27, 2008. She is a very sweet shy girl and is in full momma-mode. She takes good care of her puppies and is incredibly patient when they mob her to nurse. She enjoys wandering around the backyard sniffing and exploring her new surroundings with fellow foster Whitney 13-317 following close behind. She is hesitant to come into the house by herself, but when on a leash, she easily follows along.
Her energy level is low right now as nursing her kids takes a huge amount of energy. We are in the process of weaning her pups and starting to separate her from them for a couple of hours at a time. As she gets more time away from the puppies, we will begin to she her personality emerge.
Here she is giving a kiss to the littlest pup, JJ.
As for her medical information, she went to the vet on Tuesday for her wellness check and heartworm test (negative). On Thursday she received her rabies and bordatella. She is up-to-date on all other vaccinations. She has a staph infection on her belly that we are working to clear up with daily belly baths. She cannot have oral medications while the puppies nurse. After the pups are weaned, it will take many weeks for her milk to dry up before she can be spayed, most likely in January. She will be available for adoption after her spay. She is available to meet approved applicants before her spay surgery.
