"For Quigley and all the puppies"

January 30, 2011

Admit it!  You love her already just because of her name! Miss Quigley is one of eight puppies rescued from a North Dakota puppy mill last weekend.  This little five pounder has managed to avoid the deadly virus, Parvo, that has infected several of her littermates.  She has no symptoms of the disease, and has made a smooth transition from her previous home in a cold, filthy out-building to the warm, clean home of her foster mom.

Despite being removed from her mother before being weaned, she is gaining weight and thriving with the care of RAGOM volunteers who are helping to feed and socialize her.  Once she is spayed and ready to be away from her brothers and sisters, she will be available for adoption.  If just saying her name makes you happy, imagine how you will feel snuggling this little fur ball in your arms?  Are you meant to be her forever family?  Can you help with the enormous costs [2] associated with trying to give her siblings the same chance at the Golden life that this little cutie will have?

According to Quigley’s namesake, Kate Q., founder of the Chain of Hope Rescue in Kansas City, “At the end of the day, if we can change the life of even one dog, it matters.”
