Profile
Redd is here and is a delightful gentleman. He was adopted out from RAGOM as a young dog in 2000. While we hope when we adopt out our dogs that we are finding them a forever home, sometimes things change and it's just not to be. Once a RAGOM dog, always a RAGOM dog, and Redd has been welcomed back with open arms.
The initial meet and greet with my dogs was a little rocky at first. Redd hasn't had a lot of dog interaction over the past 8 years and is a little unsure of new dogs, and four new dogs may be a little disconcerting. However, after a couple of hours of hanging out in the backyard together, everyone walked in the house and they have been great friends ever since.
In typical Golden fashion, Redd enjoys holding a stuffed toy in his mouth and is in his glory when he is being petted. His original foster mom from 2000 is still a RAGOM foster mom (YAY Paula!), but is presently fostering Lucy 07-050 with terminal cancer and couldn't take Redd back into her home. However, she doesn't live far away and is coming to visit him tomorrow and take him for a walk so there will be a happy reunion. He's only been here one day, and so far he appears to be completely housetrained, is eating well, does fine with my dogs and loves people. Will write more as we get to know him better.
