Profile

The best way to sum up Riley Boy is to say that he is an all around great dog! He is about 1 year old, neutered, healthy, and happy. Riley is a GR and yellow lab mix. His stature and personality fit that of a GR.

He came from a home that did not have any time to devote to him.

Riley is very lively, and likes to hang out with and be part of the family. He is house trained, walks well on the leash, listens and comes when called. He is still a bit shy of strangers and takes alittle while to warm up to them. He is great with other dogs and children.

He does like to bark at my neighbors 9 cats through the fence. Not sure how he is with cats. Riley is a very sweet dog.

Since Riley is only 1, he has A LOT of energy and needs to have a good dose of off leash activity every day and plenty of room to romp. He loves to fetch and play. He does have a small tendency to chase cars as they go by the fence. This may only be because he is still new to the environment.

He loves car rides. Riley is an easy dog to manage. Once he gets to know you and becomes part of the family he bonds tightly. Be sure to take extra towels along when you take him swimming, which he loves. Although he loves water, he does not like to stay wet, so have those towels ready to dry him off a bit. He does not mind being bathed.

If someone is in the yard or at the front door, Riley will let you know. He notices and barks at any unusual noises or sounds in and around the house. But he is quick to calm down with the barking when you tell him to do so.

Riley loves to sit with me and hang out on the couch and sleep in the bedroom at night. As I mentioned before, Riley is an all around great dog. Being that he is only 1, he has lots of energy and needs daily off leash activities/exercise, and a family that will give him lots of love; he has plenty to give in return.
