Rocky 09-476 [1]

11-22-09:  RAGOM is welcoming several new 7 week old Golden/Lab puppies.  The two guys I am fostering Jack (09-475) and (Rocky 09-476) were brought in with Charlie and Gus 09-477 and 09-478).  They came up from Iowa after being surrendered by a family that had an accidental litter of pups (this is why we spay and neuter).  For their profiles, I'll use the same info for both but when you look at the pictures, Jack has the green collar and Rocky, blue (The main pictures do match the name of the dog) take note of the "white socks" on Rocky's feet. 
 
I've had these two guys for a week now and THEY WON'T BE AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION UNTIL THEY ARE 8 WEEKS OLD.  These guys are typical puppies- they love to play, eat, sleep.  These guys eat up all the attention they can and try hard to get our 2 resident goldens to play but they are a little afraid of them because they are so much smaller than they are.  We also get a lot of people that stop to check them out when we are outside playing so these two are well socialized!    When playing, it's all about playing with whatever they can pull around (blankets, newspapers etc) stuffed babies, ropes or balls.  Outside their favorite place to be is in the garden, chewing on flowers, branches or mulch so we are constantly redirecting.
 
Rocky and Jack sleep in a crate and because we leave the crate door open, will go in when they are looking for a little quiet time.  They love to cuddle and their favorite place to sleep is on a blanket on the couch or with FM and FD.They have done well learning stairs and are getting better about pottying outside.  We do try to make sure they get out every couple hours- even during the night, the longest they have to wait is 5 hours.
 
What these guys need in their furever homes is pretty easy because of their age-
1. These guys get along great with my residents goldens so they can go to a home with or without another dog
2.  Kids- any age will do for these boys.
3. A fence will not be required as long as the family is willing to train him to stay in the yard but if you are like me and have a picket fence, you will need to keep a good eye on him until he gets a little bigger because both of these guys walk right through as if the fence were non-existent.
