Are you saying .... Awwww? I know! Super cute dude! Meet Roger. Roger is a 10 year old, male, 78 lb, golden mix. He has a medium golden color, shorter, lab like fur, a tail with a white tip, and ears with black hair on the lower half, and long legs. Roger is a very sweet and loving dog that came into RAGOM because he was found as a stray. I am so glad this sweet senior boy is safe in rescue... his future is GOLDEN from here on out. Yay!

We know nothing about Roger's past. I have learned that he is 99.9% house trained. He did lift his leg to mark our wall (but as of right now he is unneutered so this is not surprising.. this will soon change!) since that incident he has had no accidents. He knows commands like: sit, down, shake, and even "sits pretty"! Someone loved this guy at one point in his life, that is for sure. He is social and loving with people and animals. He does have some scarring on his face from an old injury of some kind... who knows what. I doubt it was a "scrap" of any kind judging from his nature, unless he was strictly on the receiving end. I would guess it was a tangle with a wild animal... or maybe a fence or something?! Who knows. Either way, the hair loss is permanent, but gives him a character! :) His house manners are very good. He goes into a crate for now when we are away but I am sure could be trusted with free roam after he settles in. He sleeps at night soundly next to our bed, and likes to lay at your feet and just be where you are. He is not demanding of attention but loooves to bury his head in your lap if you want to give him some lovin'. He's adorable!

Roger saw the vet yesterday and got all of his vaccines and his microchip. There is one concern about his health. He has a suspicious looking sore on his back end. The vet is concerned it could be a tumor. Roger will have surgery Wednesday morning for his neuter, during that time a biopsy will also be taken to find out for sure what we are dealing with. Please keep this boy in your thoughts and prayers!! We will keep you updated. Stay Tuned!
