Profile
This good looking boy is rusty. He has the most gorgeous red coat that all the girls will go ga-ga over.He is slightly built around 55 lbs.He is 18 months old, neutered and in excellent physical condition.I don't have his health records as of yet,but have talked to his former Veterinary clinic and he is past due on all his vaccinations and is not micro-chipped.He has a appointment on the 26th to get everything up to date.He is a surrender dog who was to exuberant for there four year old, chewed up his toys and was thus restricted to his crate in the basement or tied up outside. He also jumped the fenced fence in the back yard.(the fence was only three feet tall, something my grandmother could jump over and she is dead.)He gets along well with my resident dogs(after the normal posturing by all involved)He was introduced to water on his arrival here. He was a little leery of it at first, but is now swimming and playing chase the ducks like a true Golden. There are no aggression issues with food or toys.He is in fact a true gentleman and is adjusting well to pack life here at the lake.He was crate shy at first as he thought it was punishment to go there. We have left the door open for him so he can come and go as he pleases.Yesterday he went in and checked it out. After he found out he could come and go as he pleased he even took two naps in it.I can tell he has some obedience training, but he still needs work.We are working on that, going for walks twice a day, swimming and learning to live out side of a crate and having free run of the house.Rusty is going to make a fine family member for some lucky family. So far I see so reason he shouldn't be around children as he likes everyone. He just needs to be exercised and be with a family that has time for him.I will send more photos and a update after his vet appointment.
