Sadie 06-090 [1]

3/6/06: Sadie arrived on Saturday evening, UTD on shots and well groomed. She is from a multiple dog household in Iowa where she spent her days outside, and her nights crated. She will be 7 yrs old on April 1st, and has a very sweet and gentle disposition. She is a rich red in color, and has a very thick fur coat. Sadie is a bit short, and a bit heavy. She is also a powerhouse of strength, and carries her 76 pounds across the yard with amazing speed ... especially when a tennis ball is in play (which she LOVES)! She gets along great with resident dog Kellie, and just calmly watches the cats. Her biggest battle so far has been her introduction to a full flight of stairs ... it took much consideration, a little coaxing, and undeniable courage for her to climb these bizarre things ... and when she finally decided to do it, she did it at breakneck speed to get it over with as quickly as possible. Each time it gets a little bit easier, but its still a mental challenge for her. Sadie is very gentle, nuzzles and paws for attention, and wants to stick close. More later as I get to know her better.
