Sandy 04-327 [1]

10/1/04 - Sandy is a 6 year old spayed Golden/Collie mix. She is very gentle with adults and children. She gives the sweetest gentle kisses. I have only heard her bark (just a couple barks not much at all) at my Amber - other than that I haven't heard a sound out of her. She is an owner surrender because the family felt that she needed to be with someone who could spend more time with her. I picked her up last night and brought her home. She rides well in the car - just laid down for the entire trip. She did have an accident right away but it could have been because it was a new house and she was nervous. There haven?t been anymore accidents since the first one.

Her previous owners told me that she likes other dogs - there was only 1 that she didn't get along with that they know of. I brought Amber along with me to pick Sandy up and their first introduction was a little rough but then we just walked around and let them get used to each other. We have had a few more little arguments but nothing serious. Sandy has been an only dog for 6 years so she needs to get used to having another fur-buddy around. I would suggest a home without cats. So far she has only chased and cornered my cat. I don?t know what she would do if given the chance.

Sandy is very sweet, mellow and she would be fine with children, as she has been around children of all ages. My son likes her a lot and she likes him. My son thinks it's so cool that she shakes, slaps five, and will give you ten....do dogs have ten to give?? Ok, she's great at giving 8. I will make a vet appointment for her today and send an update after I get to know her better. Fall time is upon us and if you're looking for a fur-buddy to keep you warm, you will want to meet Sandy. She will make a great companion and be your best friend.
