10/31/05: Meet Bizzy and Sassy!!!

Sassy is the blonde and Bizzy is a beautiful red. These two girls are 5 year old littermates and are being fostered together. We did try to separate them at first with 2 foster homes but both dogs were wimpering constantly and were not adjusting well. So we had a happy reunion last week and now they are very happy to be back together~no more crying, looking around for the other, isolating themselves, etc......Bizzy and Sassy have very similiar personalities. They are both very playful and happy, their tails wag 100 mph, they are trained and obedient and are very interactive with each other and also the other dogs in the house. When they were separated however they were not as interactive with the other dogs as they are now. They are dog savvy with many dog personalities. I have one dog who is choosy with his friends and both girls handled him well and now they all sleep together. They are very gentle and curious but can read social cues from other animals and children really well. They follow each other around a lot and its often hard to tell who is the leader. It seems they share this role nicely, unlike some human sisters I know :) They both LOVE Frisbee in the yard and will take turns. Bizzy is a bit faster and better at the game but if I tell her to sit and give Sassy her turn she happily does! These two are practically joined the hip! They each have kennels that their owner used when she was not home. I typically leave them in the kitchen with the other dogs and they will respect the baby gate and the trash. They both love to ride in the car and are excited to see new people and places! We went to the vet this week for their RAGOM check ups and both have skin allergies we are working on clearing up. Sassy's are a bit more serious than Bizzy's but both continue on hypo-allergenic food, antibiotics and topical meds. They love pets and baths and anything where they get attention and love from people. Their owner took them to the vet the day before their surrender and got them utd on their shots and care-THANK YOU! They are both spayed and obedience trained. In fact they are trained to use one specific spot in the yard for their "business." Its really amazing how well they take direction from humans. They used to eat their food out of the same bowl so we had some issues at first with my dogs and sharing......the amazing thing is if you say no to one of these dogs one time that's all it takes! They tried sharing once in the beginning and not once since. They are like malleable playdough, very easy and very adaptable as long as they can be together. We hope that one lucky family is interested in adopting them both. I can't imagine one without the other now that I have had them both for the last week. They compliment each other, play together and are such well mannered little girls. One family would be so lucky to have both!
