SIMON SAYSsss--------"I'M BACK!"
Some nice man told me I was a RAGOM puppy a long time ago, and then I became something called adopted. I loved my family, but due to a misunderstanding, I am back. I am living with my Foster Mom and Dad with a really cool and fun furry brother and sister. But if you---oops--a tennis ball rolled by--gotta go.
Yes, if you have any old tennis balls laying around, Simon could help you out. So far, we have seen him carry three at one time. Simon is 7 years old, weighs a hundred pounds (kinda chunky), and is starving at all times. He has beautiful, thick red hair with the cutest curly ears and likes having his hair brushed. He knows and obeys all the basic commands and has perfect recall. This boy does not need a fence. Loves riding in the car, playing ball, snuggling, and me. I'm not sure, but he may have super-glued himself to my leg, but that will lesson as he feels more secure. He is completely house-trained, sleeps by the bed, chews nothing inappropriate, and has had free roam since day one.
I compare Simon to a child that has great spirit, a full, loving heart but hasn't been taught social manners. Watch your fingers when offering a treat! He thinks he should be first out the door and first one to eat. Simon needs an experienced dog owner to help him remember---he is not the leader of the pack. We are already working on these issues.
Simon could live with other dogs, but probably not another alpha dog. I think he would enjoy being an only, because he loves his people so much.
We have a vet appointment tomorrow, but don't foresee any problems. Foster Dad and I are already smitten with this big boy and think Simon got put in a situation beyond his control. If Simon sounds like a guy you could bond with, let your Placement Advisor know.
Jackson, Simon, Sandy. Pals already!
