Sloan 07-665 [1]

Meet Sir Sloan, 11 months old and 43.5 pounds.  His name is for being a 'fighter', the kind to survive and that is what he is.  In less than a day he has been rescued, transported, introduced to a home enviroment which included 3 shampoos and a conditioner. :)

He has already mastered walking through doorways, down two steps to the garage and this morning walked up four of the deck steps (which are covered with outdoor carpet).  He loves Ranger 07-237 and they play outside like he has been doing so forever.  Where Ranger goes, Sloan goes.  He ate from my hand last night, has done his business outside, and decided after being out and about he didn't care to stay in the big mastiff crate by himself.  So up he went to the bedroom and a smaller crate with a nice doggie bed in it.  Once in, not a peep all night.  Wasn't sure about coming out this morning, but as Ranger licked his face through the crate, his tail wagged and with a little help he came out, down the stairs and out the door.  

More on him later.  Though when you think what he has been through and accomplished in less than 24 hours, you know he is smart, happy and a fast learner.
