Hi Everybody, I'm one of the new kids on the block and although I cannot be adopted yet, I thought I would let you know that I'm here and in a couple of months, I will be good to go to my forever home.

You see, I have some doctoring to get taken care of. I came all the way up here from Alabama, and I was not put on any heartworm preventives and now that I'm one year old, I have heartworms. Dang it anyway! My FM and FD say that I'm just the cutest thing they ever did see, and they thought for sure I'd be adopted soon. But...you don't want me until I'm healthy and good to go, and I want you to see me at my best too. Now and then I get a bit crabby (Can you say FOOD HOG?) with the resident dog. I want her food, my food, and FM and FD's food too. And if I could find a way to get that darned frig open, I'd be in heaven. The steroids I'm taking are making me hungry as a horse. Okay, time to stop talking about food. I'm ready to eat my paw.

I'm a 57# pretty girl, the vet says I'm perfect weight. I'm one year old. I am half Great Pyranese, and half Golden. My prey drive is pretty high, but I know the fenced in back yard is as far as I can go. And if I could climb trees, those squirrels would not stand a chance!

It will probably be another 2 months before I am ready to see visitors. But I thought I should write to you, because my new permanent mom and dad might just be out there waiting for me! Stand in line folks, stand in line. No fighting. ;)

Stay in touch, watch for news from yours truly. As far as good dogs go, I'm one of the best. My FM says so, and I know she'd never lie.

Sue
