Tilly 08-240 [1]

Tilly (short for Tillamook) is a petite (~ 60 lbs) 3 year old golden retriever/yellow lab mix who was surrendered to RAGOM due to an illness in her family. Tilly was clearly raised with lots of love, because she is an incredibly well-balanced dog. She was a happy camper the moment she walked through our front door! Tilly gets along great with all of the other dogs, the cats, AND the birds! How cool is that?! She's also an awesome playmate for our daughter who is 5 years old...not surprising since she was raised with several children ranging in age from 6 months to 7 years old. Tilly is a super dog for really little kids (and big kids too!) because she's very gentle, not mouthy at all, and does not jump. She LOVES to fetch and will drop the ball right at your feet.

Tilly is housetrained, walks nicely on a lead, knows basic commands, does not resource guard, and does not have any storm anxiety. She did have some hip problems at birth (dysplasia) and had surgery which took the ball off her left hip. She is fine now but should not be used for hunting and cannot play as long as most Golden's. Though, to be honest, I get tired before she does!

We all know that there is no such thing as a perfect dog, but Tilly is just about as perfect as a dog can be.
