Here’s a warm RAGOM welcome to the one and only Trooper! Our little friend has recently had the 2 biggest days of
his short life today. Over the past 48 hours, Trooper has had several “firsts”, such as:
- Made the long journey from South Dakota to the Twin Cities
- Gotten his very first real bath
- Seen a vet and gotten up to date on his shots
- Given a name!
- Told how unbelievably cute he is
- Retrieved his very first ball
- Met his first kitty
- Checked out the inside of a house for the very first time
- Gotten lots of hugs and snuggles
- Met his temporary and permanent foster homes
- Gotten his very own web presence! Not bad for an 8-week old!
Trooper is an inquisitive little guy. He spent much of his first day in foster care checking out his new surroundings and getting to know his temp foster parents and resident dogs. He is quite attentive for such a young puppy, so he will most likely respond very well to some basic training. Trooper loves people, and is more interested in following his humans around than he is in just about anything else. He will most likely be the quintessential golden "shadow". He also LOVES to be hugged and petted. Trooper has all the signs of being a big snuggler in the making.
On his first day in temp foster care, after getting a feel for his new place, the little guy was pretty wiped out. Trooper wandered into the living room, found a nice quiet corner, and promptly fell asleep. Hey, it was a big day; you couldn't blame a cute little puppy for being a little sleepy! Today Trooper moved to his permanent foster home, and is getting settled in with his new foster pack. Stay tuned for more updates as we get to know him better. Soon will come the biggest day of all for him: the day he meets his perfect family and finds his forever home!
