Meet Trucker.  He is a happy, energetic boy that I picked up Friday afternoon.  Trucker doesn't appear to be a purebred Golden but he has a pure golden personality.  He is a real sweetie and just loves to give kisses.  He's not shy about letting you know that he wants some attention.   I don't know a lot about his history other than a local shelter called one of our vets in the area and asked if they would be willing to take him as they knew this vet worked with RAGOM.  He's up-to-date on his shots but will be need a couple of booster in the next month.  His HW and SS came back negative. 

Trucker gets along just great with my resident golden.  He has lots and lots of energy so he would probably do best in a fenced yard or with an invisible fence.  When we turned him out in the yard with our resident dog on Friday, he just ran and ran and ran.  You could tell he liked the freedom.    He went for what I think must have been his first ever walk yesterday.   He didn't like the gentle leader at first but by the end to the walk he was beginning to figure things out. He's a quick study so it won’t be long before he's heeling like a pro.  He's already learned sit and we're working on down.  Stay is still a ways off. 

Trucker loves his chew bones but hasn't figured out what to do with a ball yet.  He had a couple of accident's the first day but everything has been great since then.  I think he was just nervous.  He's crated at night and after a few minutes he settles right down and you never hear another peep out of him.  He met my grand-daughter on Sunday and loved right up on her so he would be great with kids.  He might be a little too energetic for a toddler (he might knock them down trying to give them kisses) but any other age kids would be great.
